Buffalo River Canoe Trip (5/17/2023 to 5/19/2023)

Canoeing

Camp at Woolum Campground Friday and Saturday night.  We will be canoeing 8-10 miles on the Buffalo River on Saturday.

The bugs at Woolum Campground will likely be bad.  Be sure to bring bug spray and a bug net if you are hammock camping.  Trees can be limited for Hammock Campers

The only gear that we will bring on the water is the gear you need for the day float.  This includes lunch, water bottle, sunscreen, bailing buckets/sponges, etc.  Everything that goes in the canoe that you want to keep dry should be in a Dry Bag.  Garbage bags and Ziploc bags do not work as a dry bag.

Friday Night:  Drive to White Rock Recreation Area.  Camp in the campground Sites 1 and 2.

Sunday:  Hike 2.8 Miles back to White Rock Mountain

There will be no short hike.
